April 23RD , 2017 The Croc turns 1 !!!!!!!
It was about a year ago we come up with a concept of a way of informing everybody what was going on in the park and what was to happen during the season. What about a weekly newsletter, we thought.
Brilliant, but what should we call it, something that is catchy and relates to the area, but also be funny. There were a few names chucked about, some we can’t repeat. What a Load of Croc was the winning name and it has turned into a bigger and better publication as time has moved on.
Happy 1st Birthday Croc. Thank you all for reading this absolute load of croc and cheers to the year ahead.

Friday Night Roast for the RFDS
This week is our fundraiser for the Royal Flying Doctor Service which provides a vital service to outback Australia. We will be raffling off a Karumba Sunset Caravan Park Fishing Shirt and a 1 litre Stainless Steel Beer Stein. Our staff will come around selling tickets for these at $1 per ticket and all proceeds will be donated to the RFDS. You can also make a cash donation on the night as well and we are donating $50 to start this off.
We are cooking up Roast Pork and veges along with Apple Sauce or Gravy. It is $15 per Adult and $7.50 per child under 12 years. Book your spot at reception by 2pm Friday. See you there!!
Wood Fired Pizzas
Wood Fired Pizzas are done on Wednesday 5pm to 7.30pm and Sundays from 12pm to 3pm. You can pre-order at Reception or the Sunset Cafe for a certain pick up time and we will have it ready for you or order through that time. The cost is $20. You can choose from:-
Meatlovers, Hawaiian, Satay Chicken or Vegetarian.
We have now commenced our dustbloc operations along the park roads. We intend to apply the dustbloc twice a week. When you see the ute with the pod in the back please make room for us to pass by as once the water is running it takes a bit to stop it. As we pass don’t stand to close as any residual spray can permanently stain clothing.
We will be holding our first free sausage sizzle on Anzac Day, Tuesday 25th of April at 11am at the Entertainment Area. Come up an enjoy a snag sanga off the BBQ.
Our cafe is open for business daily from 9am to 3pm daily and Wednesday open through to 7.30pm. We have a selection of foods and beverages to choose from. Our menu will change and expand throughout the season so check the blackboard outside the cafe window for any specials. We now have extra Ice Cream Flavours for the cones such as Boysenberry, Rum n Raisin, Cookies n Cream. We also do pancakes with maple syrup, ice cream which I can totally vouch that it is awesome. New to the cafe is home made Iced Coffee and home made Iced Chocolates.
Come in and see Shane, Carol or Lorry and test this for yourself…
Speed of vehicles
All vehicles must adhere to the 3 km/hr speed limit that we have in place within the park. That is to ensure everybody’s safety and to keep the dust emissions to an absolute minimum. SAFETY FIRST.
We now do tour bookings for Kerry D Fishing Charters, Karumba Fishing Adventures, The Ferryman Cruises, Croc and Crab Tours and Queensland Rail’s The Gulflander train that runs out of Normanton. Bookings on all of these can be made at Reception between 9am and 4.30pm. For more information pop into reception and ask our friendly staff and pick up some brochures.
