What a Load of Christmas Croc.. 2016, The Year it was
What a Load of Christmas Croc.. 2016, The Year it was Well here we are at the end of 2016 and what a year it was. The year started off with not much of a wet season but it didn’t stop the faithful coming north to enjoy what Karumba has to offer. We put a new broom through the park and brought back the roast and meal nights along with entertainment with the likes of Buckshot Billy and Big Ted. The biggest achievement for us was bringing back the fun and happiness that everyone should have when coming here whether it’s for the fishing, holidaying or just plain old relaxation.
The park went through an upgrade with concrete slabs onto the powered sites, ensuites fitted to the cabins and B Block amenities got a facelift. One of the best things that happened was the birth of What a Load of Croc. This newsletter is a weekly publication through the season of April to September and monthly during the Summer.
The feedback we received was heart warming and to be hone
st, we never thought it would have the impact that it has. One family that stayed with us for only a couple of nights regarded their stay as the highlight of their trip due to the Croc being emailed out each week to their house. It made Karumba stick in their minds. Thank you for all of your kind comments. The Croc will go on !!!!!
Our highlights for 2016 were:- The success of the Friday Night Roast and entertainment Big Ted and the Tall Timbre Band Cancer Council Charity Fashion Parade Brian Coates’ inability to stand on his own two feet late on a Friday Night.
The support that you showed all of us “Newbies” in our determination to revamp the Sunset Caravan Park atmosphere. Thank you. 2017, The Year ahead Speaking of revamp, if you thought that things were great this year, lookout for the 2017 season. As any good manager will do, we looked back on how everything went, whether good or bad and learnt from it. We are not going to give away too much at the moment but we have a lot of plans in the pipeline to make this coming season the best ever this park has seen. What we can say is that we have entertainment for Friday Nights from April to August so far, we will have a headline act at some stage through June or July. We will have more and new lines of stock through our shop at reception. There will also be other “Social Nights” that we will tell you all about in the January edition of the Croc. Be in anticipation for this one as there will be important information for you all before you leave the south to come north. So in wrapping up this edition of What a Load of Croc, we would like to wish all of you a safe and very Merry Christmas and a fun and happy new year. We are looking forward to you all returning and we can’t wait to put all of our plans into action. Adrian &
