Sunset Caravan Park
Edition 4
By Arch Armstrong.

Hello and welcome to the 4th edition of the Sunset Caravan Park Newsletter. Time has passed quickly since my last letter in April and lots of things have been happening at Karumba. Further progress has been made in developing new features to make our guests stay even more comfortable and pleasant. This is an on going process and as always we appreciate any suggestions for improvement. If anyone wishes to contact me direct you can do so at this email address. archcup@email.com I welcome your comments.

New Villas

In late June, 6 new villas were situated in the park. They are fully self contained and compliment our existing cabins and sites giving a variety of choice of accommodation for the travelers without mobile homes and vans. So come on up, bring the family and friends and let us take care of you. We cater for the individual or the whole family. Back Packers are most welcome and sharing a cabin is both fun and economical. Or you can camp out if you prefer to do so. We can also cater for bus tours. Give us a ring a find out how we can help. See our website for more details at www.sunsetcp.com.au or just give us a ring. Remember, it always pays to book early to avoid disappointment. Website

If you haven't already done so make sure you check out our new addition to the Sunset Caravan Park website. www.sunsetcp.com.au A new section has been added called the Gallery. Have a look here and you just might see yourself or some of your friends. This section will be continually updated with happenings in and around the area. Please note the gallery section is now under park on the main menu on the drop down menu. Just click on park on the main menu and you will see gallery on the drop down menu. Click gallery and it will take you there. As time goes by we will be adding other features which we hope will be of interest to all our valued guests. Of course you can also read this letter on the newsletter page of the website.

Fishing

Fishing for July has been superb with the largest Spanish Mackerel being 37 pounds, ( Emmy beat Bill's record) and several 35 and 36 pounders were caught. You can check out Bill on the gallery page on the Sunset Caravan Park website holding one of his catches. Have a look at the Barramundi in the gallery. Now that is one good fish!! Good sized other species have also been caught. No wonder the fishing experts say this is one of the best fishing places in the world.

Christmas in July

Christmas in July was again a huge success. Santa arrived on a motorbike ( Rudolf and the others were out fishing) with presents for all the guests. Have a look at the gallery on the website. With the smile on Lila's face she must have received something special. Maybe Lila just likes sitting on Santa's knee!!! Wonder what her husband Arthur is laughing about? Don't forget our free sausage sizzle on the first Tuesday of every month and our famous Friday night meal every Friday night in season. Come along and listen to Pete and Jude and join in the fun with the girls doing the Nutbush.

Sporting Activity

Rumor has it that the local lads have recently been whopped by some 17 year olds in the local Sunset Caravan Park Golf. Apparently " Masher Mick" ( Sunset Caravan Park Manager) is a bit cheesed off and went to a club pro to tune up his game. Mick asked the pro if he was getting better and the pro said. " Yes Sir, you are missing it closer now" Mick replied." You are the worst pro I have ever met". And the pro replied. " Sir, that would be to much of a coincidence". Maybe a couple of Bunderburg shots would have helped!!

The Donkey!!

Once upon a time a farmer who had a donkey that was old and a bit useless decided to get rid of the donkey. So he threw the donkey in an old well and started filling the well up with dirt to bury the donkey. Naturally the donkey didn't like this and started to cry out in pain. However after a while the donkey stopped crying and on looking into the well the farmer discovered and amazing scene. Every time the farmer threw in shovel full of dirt it would hit the donkey on the back and fall to the floor. The donkey then would step up and after a time the donkey was able to step from the well and was thus saved. Once the donkey was out he ran away. Several weeks later the donkey returned, found the farmer and bit him on the bum.

The moral therefore is: Instead of heaping dirt on someone, only speak good about them. Because if you heap dirt on to someone it will come back and bite you on the bum!!!

Kind Regards
Arch Armstrong

Oh!! And have a great day!!
