Sunset Caravan Park
Edition 7
By Arch Armstrong

Hello friends. Once again I welcome you to the Karumba Point Sunset Caravan Park newsletter. Hope you enjoy it.
Let me tell you the 2005 Barramundi season has opened with a roar. If this is an indication of what is to come we are in for a great year of fishing. There has already been some fabulous catches with some superb Barras being caught. Check this out:

Not only Barras but other species as well. And at Sunset Caravan Park you can still meet old friends and make some new ones. And if you are not into fishing there are lots of other things to do in Karumba and Karumba Point. And hasn't the time gone fast in 2005. Already we are into March, with Easter starting in a few days on the 24th of March. Yes, nearly a quarter of 2005 has gone already. I want you to know we have not been idle. For your comfort and well being certain areas of the park have been upgraded. New features added with more things to do and to participate in for your on going enjoyment. We want your stay to be more fun, more relaxing and more entertaining than ever before. If you are a returning guest I am sure you will like the changes. If you are first timer you will like what you see. However, as an outback park we are careful not to change the park from that outback look and feeling. And of course we will still be having our now famous Friday nights, our Monday happy hours, our craft days and quite a bit more. Our now famous singing couple Pete and Jude of Denim Blue are still here to entertain you with song and laughter. And folks, you just must check out the changes to the park shop and cafe. Our new menu features, light lunches, snacks, fresh sandwiches, special teas, pizza, quiche, bacon and egg rolls, selected cakes, coffees, smoothies, and a lot more. Make sure when you get settled in that you give the cafe a try.
Folks, as I said 2005 has kicked off with a roar. Over the last six months we have some great fishing. Check this out:

Even Mad Mick and his (Now Expert Fishing Wife Chris) have been catching them. Mad Mick is not a bad fish chucker either I can tell you:

Yep! Chris reckons she got the big one on the line and it spat the lure at the last moment. She says she could show that TV guy, ( what's his name, you know the guy with the beard) from down in Melbourne somewhere. Yep! she could show him a thing or two about catching Barramundi. So if you want some expert advice have a chat to Chris and she might let you know where she lost the big one. While you are there you can get all your requirements for a great days fishing. In the park shop we have fishing tackle, bait, ice, groceries, drinks, ice creams, bread, milk and lots of other goodies. We can also arrange half day and full day fishing charters on your behalf at no extra cost and tours as well. Just let us know at the shop or when you make a park booking and we will take care of it. Check it all out on our website www.sunsetcp.com.au or email us at info@sunsetcp.com.au or ring us on 07-47459277 or fax us on 07 47459480. And while I am on fishing, don't forget the Normanton Fishing Contest happens over Easter 2005 and the Karumba Fishing Competition takes place over the first weekend in April, the 2nd and 3rd of April 2005. Make sure you are here, it is going to be bigger and better than than the Ben Hur or the Gas Works. Come up with the family. Apart from some great overall prizes there is also prizes for the kids. Again if you want any info, then get in touch with us. We have grassed sites, powered and un-powered, camp sites, cabins and villas with all amenities and facilities for your comfort. It always pays to book early to avoid disappointment Look forward to seeing you there.
And by the way. Please feel free to pass this newsletter along to your friends and let them know about the Karumba Point Sunset Caravan Park. Some would say the best caravan park in Australia.
Well folks I will leave you with this thought for the month.
Some days there won't be a song in your heart. Sing anyway.

Kind Regards
Arch Armstrong
Oh! And have a good day.
