Karumba Community Anglers Classic 2012, 30 Mar 2012 – 01 Apr 2012 This annual event is a major fund raiser for the Gulf Barramundi Restocking Association and Karumba Progress Association. The Prize Pool is expected to exceed $25,000 with an additional $6000 cash TAGGED BARRA prize. Nominations are available on Friday 30th March, 2012 from 10am to 10pm, then again on Saturday 31st March from 7am till 11am (Close of nominations). Weigh in is from 8am on Saturday 31st March till 4pm and then again from 7am on Sunday 1st April till close of competition weigh in at 4pm. Presentations will be from 6.30pm on Sunday 1st April. More details will be provided as organisation of this annual event proceeds. Categories include Junior and Senior for several species from Barramundi, King Salmon, Blue Salmon, Jew, Jewel, Queen, Grunter, Bream - plus Mystery Weight Fish and Crab, Open Scale, nomination prizes and lots more. Music and lots of fun activities for the kids including cast net throwing, crab tying – displays and information stalls will be operating.
